Texas law allows a tax credit for up to 25 percent of eligible costs and expenses relating to the certified rehabilitation of certified historic structures.

An “audited cost report” is a report that itemizes the eligible costs and expenses an entity incurred in the certified rehabilitation of a certified historic structure. The cost report must be audited by a certified public accountant.

CKO, Tax & Business Advisors will provide you with the audited cost report required to obtain the tax credit.

Agreed Upon Procedures (AUP)

Clients hire CKO CPAs and Advisors to issue a report of findings based on specific procedures performed on a particular topic the client chooses concerning his or her company. We perform the AUP in accordance with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants AT Section 201. Please note that with AUP, we do not express an opinion or negative assurance. We report only our procedures and findings. An AUP can help your company stay in compliance, acquire loans, win government contracts, identify errors, omissions, misappropriations etc.

Reviews – Limited Assurance

The scope of a review is less than an audit, yet more than a compilation. Reviews consist primarily of analytical procedures that the we apply to your company’s financial statements, and various inquiries that we make of your company's management team. If inconsistencies result from the processes we implement, we generally perform additional procedures. Reviews provide the advantages of a CPA's technical expertise without the extended work and expenditures associated with an audit.

Compilation – Lowest level of assurance

Clients provide us their company and financial data to compile and provide them with financial statements.
Compilations don't require inquiries of management or analytical procedures. Instead, we rely on our knowledge of accounting principles and a general understanding of your business. Have receipts everywhere? don’t stress out, that’s what we are here for..
